Polymer Protective Packaging offers shipping pouches made of spunbond polypropylene

PKBR Staff Writer Published 08 June 2018

Polymer Protective Packaging (PPP) is offering spunbond pouches to make sure that shipped products arrive in unspoiled condition.

The pouches made of spunbond polypropylene can be used for packaging and protection of shipped products.

The pouches feature very low abrasion characteristics, making spunbond a better choice for packaging parts with high scuff sensitivity. Spunbond polypropylene pouches are also reusable, removing waste.

PPP claims that spunbond polypropylene is extremely durable and flexible. The company noted that the structures of the filaments that make up the non-woven fabric are heat-treated to bind the fibers and increase their tensile strength.

The structure of spunbond polypropylene promotes maximum air flow, enabling for off-gassing and avoids condensation buildup.

Spunbond polypropylene does not harm the environment. It does not feature or emit any harmful chemicals, nor is it produced using any.

PPP inside sales manager Cameron Zaldivar said: “Spunbond polypropylene is a non-woven fabric made from fine continuous filaments of polypropylene that are bonded together using a heat process.

“Spunbond polypropylene pouches offer a safe, economical way to package painted parts.”

PPP is Polymer Packaging’s protective packaging division situated in Allendale, Michigan, US. It focuses on the automotive, commercial, and industrial markets.

The company’s protective packaging is designed and manufactured using various substrates, to ensure that the shipped products arrive in pristine condition.

PPP has the capacity to convert cushioning, spunbond, and other flexible products and substrates into sheeting and pouches.

The company said spunbond polypropylene bags are used when fine surfaces need to be protected from marring and moisture during shipping.

The nonwoven, breathable spunbond polypropylene fabric is light, chemical resistant, and nontoxic.

Spunbond polypropylene bags act as a shield against scratching of delicate finishes like chrome parts, painted parts, leather upholstery, shoes, and garments, PPP said.
